Make your own homemade All Purpose Cleaner

Are you looking for some heavy-duty help when it comes to removing tough stains from worktops, woodwork or tiling. Well if you are have a try at this recipe for an All Purpose Cleaner that should deal with the worst of stains

To make 4 pints/2.3 litres of concentrated cleaner

  • 8 tablespoons household ammonia
  • 8 tablespoons washing soda
  • 2 pints 8fl oz litres warm water

In a large plastic jug with a lid, combine the ammonia, washing soda and 8fl oz/225ml of the warm water. Close the jug, shake vigorously and then add the remaining warm water. Label the jug clearly with the contents.

To use, mix 4fl oz/115ml of the cleaner with about 12 pints/7 litres of hot water. Before using on delicate surfaces such as wallpaper, test on a small, inconspicuous area.
