Make your own homemade Furniture cleaner

Here is a great recipe that will make a cleaner to remove surface dirt and grime from finished wood.

To make ¾ pint/425ml

  • 8fl oz/225ml boiled linseed oil
  • 5 floz/150ml turpentine
  • 2 ½ floz/70ml white vinegar

Thoroughly mix all the ingredients in a large bowl. Apply to wood surfaces with a soft cloth, rubbing with a circular motion to remove dirt and excess polish. For badly caked-on dirt, use superfine (gauge 0000) steel wool. Store in a tightly covered jar out of the reach of children.
