Make your own homemade Ice cubes (Herbal)

If you have an upset stomach then some herbal ice cubes may ease the suffering. The peppermint and bitters are soothing for an upset stomach, and the ice cubes are easier to keep down than liquids.

To make 50 ice cubes

  • 8 floz/225ml water
  • 1 peppermint tea bag
  • 16 floz/450ml cranberry juice
  • 1 teaspoon angostura bitters

Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add the tea bag; turn off the heat, and leave to steep for to minutes. Discard the tea bag, let the tea cool for a further 5 minutes and then stir in the remaining ingredients. Transfer the mixture to an ice-cube tray and place in the freezer until solidly frozen.

To use, suck or chew up to 3 ice cubes each hour or rub on your lips.

Caution Call your doctor if the vomiting lasts more than 24 hours or is severe.
