Make your own homemade Laundry pre-spotter

If you find that you have a stain on an item of laundry prior to washing then you may find this recipe for a pre wash stain spotter a great tool on laundry day. Glycerin softens stains on any fabric and color, making them easier to remove by normal washing. Keep a half glycerin, half wafer solution handy in the house.

To make 8 floz/225ml

• 4 floz/115ml glycerin
• 4 floz/115ml water

Combine the ingredients in a jar and shake thoroughly. Transfer the mixture to a spray bottle, label and store safely away out of the reach of children and pets.

To use, spray the area affected and rub the liquid into the fabric. Leave for 1 hour and then sponge with warm water before washing.
