Make your own homemade Rose rinse

Use this sweet-smelling rinse to remove any traces of soap after washing your face.

To make 1 pint 12 floz/910ml

  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary or 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers
  • 1 pint 12 floz/910ml purified water
  • 2 tablespoons dried or fresh rose petals

Combine all the ingredients in a small stainless steel or enameled saucepan and boil, uncovered, over a moderate heat for 10 minutes. Leave it to cool down and then strain off the liquid, discarding the herbs. Transfer it into a bottle with a lid. To use, dab on with cotton balls, and then rinse off. The lotion will keep for up to 2 months if tightly covered and refrigerated.
