Make your own homemade Shower Cleaner

Homemade shower cleaners are such a stress relief for so many reasons. They are so easy to make and work better than most cleaners you find lining the shelves at your local stores. They're much healthier in that they don't put off overwhelming and sickening fumes. They are just stress-free, and economical ways to clean your shower. Here are a couple of recipes to make your own shower cleaner:

Recipe 1

  • 8 ounces of concentrated all purpose cleaner
  • 16 oz rubbing alcohol
  • water

Pour the all purpose cleaner into a gallon container that can be sealed (a well cleaned milk jug will work), add the rubbing alcohol and enough water to make a gallon of solution.

To use pour into a spray bottle and spray onto shower walls/floor/etc after each shower (or after the last shower if more than one simultaneously). That's it!!! Will eliminate the need to scrub the shower weekly. I can actually go 6 months without scrubbing if done religiously. Works out about $2 a gallon and works better than the store bought brands!

Recipe 2

  • 32oz spray bottle
  • 8 oz rubbing alcohol
  • water

Pour the rubbing alcohol into your spray bottle and top up with water. Spray this mixture on your shower walls and curtain after every shower. You won’t even have to rinse it off.
